Concert To Calais – we all have a voice

Well, my heart never felt so light and full of hope as it did the morning after the Concert To Calais Tour. The concert to calais week was inspiring and grounding, emotional and educational. It is such a relief to realise that there are so many people who are not swayed by the media and government spin on refugees, people who care about fellow humans and want to help, by giving their time in anyway they can, singing, speaking, donating, organising, filming, supporting and promoting awareness.
The ‘us and them’ mentality was pushed aside by the generosity of everyone involved, and the reality of the crisis faced head on. We DO have a voice, and we can show the world that we DO care and we will help each other in times of trouble. Life is precious, and everyone is entitled to one.
