JESS VINCENT www.jessvincentsings.com
Jess is currently touring with new album SHINE. At the Folk House she will be accompanied by masterful percussionist and accomplished keyboard player, Graham Brown.
A live review by Jon Eve, 365Bristol proclaimed: “Her eclectic mix of upbeat pop folk, downbeat ballads and delicate love songs hit every single emotion….In all honesty, I was sold as soon as I’d heard her pitch perfect vocals” TICKETS £8 The Bristol Folk House, 40A Park Street BS1 5JG 0117 926 2987
Jess has performed in venues up and down the country from acoustic clubs like Rothbury Roots in Northumberland to the big stage at Colston Hall in Bristol and her festival appearances (as herself and supporting other musicians) include Manchester Pride, Cropredy, New Forest Folk Festival, Dart Music Festival, Wellyfest, Great British Folk Festival, Village Pump Folk Festival and Doncaster Folk Festival, among many others.
Jess Vincent has a highly original style which is getting noticed: “Soulful, strong and utterly engrossing” says Mick Tems, Folk Wales; “uniquely and obliquely original” Rock’n’Reel R2, her trademark subtle arrangements on guitar, baritone uke, shruti box, bass, harmonium, reveal a maturity that belies her youth, yet allowing her vulnerability to shine through.
Jess has a unique mix of ‘..accessible, tuneful folksiness, with dashes of Americana of the light-textured Appalachian variety” [Folk n Roots].
“Shine sees Jess Vincent rising in stature as both a writer and performer of songs. An album that will last a lifetime and feel like it’s ended too soon.” [NEIL KING – FATEA RECORDS]
